Nanostructures for optical and electronic devices


Technological innovations are fueled by the increasing demand of active nanostructures as unique building blocks of electronic, optoelectronic and photonic devices. In this symposium, we aim to present upcoming and potentially leading nanostructures, at various stages of their developments from their growth and synthesis, through the understanding of their electrical and optical fundamental properties and eventually to their integration into devices. Topical sessions on different materials and applications will be organized, combining experimental and theoretical presentations. Emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches throughout the symposium will stimulate new directions of research and create opportunities of scientific interaction between attendees.
